Double Glazing
Double glazing now caters for uPVC sash windows that have the grace of yesterday's wooden sash windows. Modern uPVC sash windows have the extra benefits of double glazing , minimum maintenance and sprung counter balance sashes (no more jammed windows). This has apparent benefits over the old metal sash weights on waxed cord, which always break. New uPVC sash windows have all the same merits as the old windows e.g. Brass handles, locks and catches plus energy saving double glazing. This is a great step forward now you can change your old cold and drafty wooden sash windows to new double glazed sash windows and comply with the new regulations.
Double glazed uPVC sash windows are zero maintenance apart from cleaning, you'll never experience any rot, jammed sashes nor will you have to paint them, now with K glass, and storm proof seals, means you will never hear the rattling of the window sashes as with the old windows plus you will save energy by turning your heating down, and you will never experience that draft again. Many original Victorian sash windows have come to the end of their life so why not replace them now, and come in out of the cold.
Installation is quick and clean as the fitters will cover up with dust sheets remove the old sash windows make good any disturbed areas and fit the new double glazing inject a mastic seal between the new frame and the brickwork clean the frames and polish the glass with the minimum of inconvenience.
